We have been working for months on trying to get listed on CoinGecko. We have been denied by them several times. Each time, we were told that “we don’t meet their listing requirements.” even though it is clear that we meet ALL of their published requirements. When we asked what specific requirement/s we didn’t meet- we were ignored. We have been audited by a highly reputable third party, and we passed that audit with high praise. We got in contact with the COO of Coin Gecko who again told us that “we do not meet the requirements.” again, we asked which requirement do we not meet, and again, there has been no response.
This type of treatment is not only inconsiderate, it is also in violation of CoinGecko’s own mission statement which reads, “CoinGecko was founded in 2014 by TM Lee (CEO) and Bobby Ong (COO) with the mission to democratize the access of crypto data and empower users with actionable insights.” We feel that it is important for our community members to read the CoinGecko policy, their mission statement, and what we have been told by their COO, so we have attached this literature to this post.
The Doge2 team will continue to honor professionalism as we navigate this unfortunate situation, and we ask our community to do the same. We will be focusing on our important projects (blockchain, wallets, Dogelink, etc…) and will keep all of you updated if things move forward with the CoinGecko listings. In a world of injustice, discrimination, and authoritarianism, never back down and always remember that truth will prevail!
